Nerida Thorburn Design is a boutique interior design studio located on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Specialising in residential design we work with clients in Sydney and around Australia. All our designs start by understanding how our clients live - and how they want to feel when they are at home. We consider location and architecture, inject a sense of history and have an eye towards the future - so that each interior is unique and transcends trends.
We believe that creating great interiors should be an enjoyable process. When you work with us we help you understand the process, visualise the end result and involve you along the way as much or as little as you'd like. We love to support Australian product designers and artisans and believe in investing in quality.
NERIDA THORBURN
FOUNDER/DIRECTOR
Nerida has a Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration and a Bachelor of Arts (Communication).
She began working as an interior designer five years ago after several decades working in the corporate world - and deciding it was time to turn her passion for renovating and creating beautiful homes into her second career.
She is passionate about creating homes that reflect her clients - rather than delivering a certain "look". We believe this is what makes a house a home.
Nerida's experience and qualifications mean she is adept at not only the technical and creative aspects of interior design but also the organisational and communication aspects that are vital for an enjoyable process and great outcome.
Nerida established her own design studio in September 2021.
